Why Teaching?
My love for learning is what first drew me to teaching, however it was getting to be around children, while working at a daycare, that helped determine why. At the daycare, I saw multiple personalities, home experiences, and got to learn more about them on a deeper level. Each child was different. I want to become a teacher to make an impact on a child's life. As a teacher, you get to be a small part on how a person is in their daily life; I want to teach my students not only school lessons, but life lessons too. Not every child is going to have a person that they can look up to for guidance, love, and acceptance. I want to be that person for my students. You never know what it's like at home, but when that child steps in my classroom, it will be a safe place. Children learn and create when in an environment where they feel that their differences will be accepted. I want to connect and build a relationship with each of my students. Becoming a teacher will allow me to (hopefully) help develop and mold them into the best versions of themselves. Some children just need a little extra support to see their full potential.
I can't wait to see what the students in my classroom can do!
